“ So good. Went for an early lunch. I wasn't super hungry Ate everything and ordered more. ”
“ The meat was very tender and fell apart. I would recommend this to anyone. The soup dumpling were also good. ”
“ I always stop in here when by Union Square. I've only done the dim sum menu and the pork soup dumplings are superb. I usually get the potato scallions pancakes and those are enough for a light snack or lunch. The service is friendly, place is clean, and food affordable! ”
“ The place is very calming. You step in and greeted with a great playlist and nice host. We were sat fairly quickly and was able to place our order right away. We ordered steam pork soup dumplings, pan fried pork dumplings and shrimp dish. When they first came they accidentally got us two orders of soup dumplings instead of pan fried dumplings and they felt so bad the messed up they gave it to our table and went quickly to the kitchen to ordered it. Within in minutes a fresh order came out. They were so kind to be so quick about it. Over all the food tasted incredible and atmosphere was great on a rainy day. ”
“ Dropped in for early dinner after doing some shopping at the Strand Bookstore down the street (wish we had a used bookstore like that in L.A.!) Found some interesting volumes to add to my rare music and opera books collection, so I was in a good mood. Ordered (1) crab soup dumpling - 4 stars, lots of hot delicious broth inside each packet of heaven, but the wrapper is slightly thicker than Deluxe Green Bo version in Chinatown; (2) spicy wontons with shrimp and pork - 5 stars, fautlessly prepared, not drowning in red chili oil, you can taste the very fresh ingredients; (3) dan dan noodle - 5 star perfection, again, not drowning in chili oil, bits of ground pork and spinach enhance the flavor profile, the noodle is on the softer side (all the better for soaking up that yummy sauce) but still retains some chew; my compliments to the chef for achieving the ideal balance of flavor and texture in a perfectly executed dan dan noodle. I don't think I've had better in L.A. Price is quite inexpensive compared to L.A.'s San Gabriel Valley. $40 total including tip. Great waitstaff, they even obliged my unusual request of charging my dying phone. (that's why I didn't/couldn't take food pics.) ”
“ I was craving some good scallion oil noodles, so I popped in here for a quick lunch after my dentist appointment, and it did not disappoint! I was seated right away and taken care of right away, which was nice. The scallion oil noodles weren't on the menu, but upon asking the waiter, he said he could make them. The waitstaff was very attentive and quick with their service. It came out fast and was the perfect temperature. I also got the vegetable spring rolls, which is always a classic. The restaurant is clean and has a nice amount of space in between each table, so it doesn't feel too crowded. The price was also not too bad for the two things (a little over $15 for both, including tip). If you're in the area, I'd definitely recommend! ”
“ I dunno about cuffing season, I only know noodle soup season... (granted, I love a good noodle soup 365 days of the year, but it hits the spot 10x more in the chillier seasons...) My husband and I were in the area- chilly evening, stuffy noses... we wanted noodles! Found 3 Times in the area- early dinner time, so the restaurant wasn't crowded so we were seated immediately. We ordered the crunchy noodles with pork, spicy beef noodle soup and pork soup dumplings. The crunchy noodles came out first- deep fried noodles topped with a thick gravy of pork, veggies and mushroom! The savory gravy had a tang to it, and made me think of hot and sour soup- it was good, but wish it came with more noodles. The spicy beef noodle soup came next- this was my favorite! Noodles had a good bounce (wish they were a tiny bit chewier) but the soup- this was what made it awesome. While spicy, it wasn't overpowering and was so aromatic and flavorful. We wolfed down to the last drop. The pork soup dumplings were the last to arrive to the table (steaming takes some time!) These were just okay- the soup was a bit too thin imho, and there was too much dough, so the meat to dough ratio was a bit off. Service was good, I think it's key to come in when they're not too busy. ”
